Its pottery day!!

Its Wednesday!! A pottery day!!

Today I received all the pieces I had been working on for the past 3 weeks. All coloured and ready to use!

I made this little tea pot in my last class. This is the first time I made a lid for the pot. First I made a cylindrical pot and then a lid on the wheel, then attached handle and spout when pot and lid was leather-hard.

I dipped it in clear glaze and when it was dry, handle dipped in warm blue.
My mother has a similar but stainless steel oil pot, so I have decided to use this tea pot as oil pot.

Following bowls are dipped in warm green and top double dipped in rosie red glaze.

The warm green glaze was really thick when I dipped these bowls so the base color turn out       greenish blue, I loved it!!

Last week my right hand was all swollen and blue so I did some hand building. This dish was dipped in new beige and double dipped in warm green.

We bought a new dining table last month so I thought I would make some coasters. These are dipped in rosie red glaze.

                                                             Aren't they beautiful?

This free fall bowl dipped in rosie red and then I added some mauve glaze on top.

Today I made a nacho plate with attached bowl. It's on the shelf for bisque firing. Another two weeks and it will be on blog... :)
